[edit]Dear proponents of Tatar language, would you please keep in mind that this is an English wiki. Would you please at least try to transliterate Tatar names into legiable English. The current Tatar writing can't be read by normal English speakers. --Gene s 06:50, 26 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Transliteration is given in articles.
[edit]İ'm sure, that ways of pronouncing are not matter in the list of links. User:Untifler
Girays
[edit]I think Girays should be written uniformly. Since the majority of sources refere to them as Someone Giray, I think we should write them that way - two words, the second as Giray (expected pronounced as jiray, which is wrong) or Ghiray (correct pronounciation, but uniusual spelling). --Gene s 08:19, 2 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- In case of Utameshgaray, I prefer to use Utamesh, but refer to both name and to Utameshgaray perviously, becose in original Kazan Tatar speeling Utameshgaray writes as one word.
- If speeling is various, transcription shoul be used. --Untifler 11:52, 8 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- p.s. Olug Moxammat - Good job!
