It's interesting and relevant to the life of this real person that "he" gets this central role in what seems to be an extremely popular alternative history timeline. Not the first general killed in action

LTG Frank Maxwell Andrews was killed in May 1943 while trying to visit part of his command in Iceland. It may be accurate that Forrest was the first general killed in combat in Europe, but he was not the first killed in action. Tom Wood (talk) 19:59, 13 April 2016 (UTC)

Date discrepancies

I note two date discrepancies. The first is his date of birth: AFHRA Historical Study 91 gives it as April 7 whereas his Arlington grave gives it as April 6. I regard the grave as the better resource here. The second is his Captain date: Study 91 gives it as June 9 whereas his current USAF biography gives it as June 16. I regard Study 91 as the better resource here because USAF's biographies office largely used Study 91 as their primary source -- and because "16 June" appears immediately before his major pin-on date. I myself must stop occasionally in Study 91 because it's written in a narrative format vice a list format. I decided current bio < Study 91 < gravestone and so I chose to be bold and change the major pin-on date. Rob Rosenberger (talk) 02:29, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
