upload to archive.org

[edit]
THIS is a link to an archive where you can upload music. Wikimedia has a limit on how large a file (song?) can be to upload but archive.org at that link doesn't. If you need any help uploading, I'll be glad to answer any questions. Archive.org is a good place to start getting your band noticed. don' be discouraged by getting your article voted deleted... It's not meant to be judging your band or music, just whether someone is likely to look your band up in an encyclopedia. You can always write the article again, once you are more well-known.Pedant 20:58, 2005 Jan 14 (UTC)

Image Tagging Image:M4mlogo.jpg

[edit]
Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:M4mlogo.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 09:08, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:M4mstudionew.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:M4mstudionew.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:12, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Muzik 4 machines

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Muzik 4 machines requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Muzik 4 machines

[edit]

I didn't delete the page myself; since I'm not a Wikipedia administrator, I can't actually delete a page myself. I simply tagged the page for speedy deletion, and an administrator deleted it since it met the criteria. (See Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion.) If you think that the speedy deletion was invalid, I would suggest talking to User:Mailer diablo, since that's the name of the administrator who deleted the page. Also, pleae read Wikipedia:Notability (music), which is a list of criteria for notability for musicians and bands. A tag has been placed on Muzik 4 machines, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how Muzik 4 machines is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:Muzik 4 machines saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please feel free to use deletion review, but do not continue to repost the article if it is deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we request you to follow these instructions. -- Shadowlynk (Talk) 06:47, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of This plugin

[edit]

A tag has been placed on This plugin, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Fair use rationale for Image:Thispluginbox.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Thispluginbox.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Tba03 for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. Redfarmer (talk) 22:17, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please remember to assume good faith when dealing with other editors, which you did not on Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Tba03. Thank you. Redfarmer (talk) 20:29, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
