Welcome to Wikipedia. Thanks for your contributions. In one article, Charles Sumner, you asserted a particular relationship between Andrew Pickens Butler and Preston S. Brooks. Thanks. I should have put a source. From the American National Biography (N.Y.: Oxford University Press), IV, p 88: Brooks "was Butler's first cousent once removed. Brooks's grandmother was Butler's aunt, and Brooks's father, Whitfield Brooks, was Butler's first cousin." [[Tlbenson 23:12, 11 Jan 2005 (UTC)]]
