- Almost up to FA, needs just a little help. One of the most important conflicts of the interwar period. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 12:48, 11 Mar 2005 (UTC)

- This is actually a current FA, but it is listed on WP:FARC. Definitely needs help. Let's see... It needs more references, neads an actual lead section, not rambling info, needs to talk about more specific geysers, really, it just needs to be actually comprehensive in the first place.

- I listed it on FARC, but have done a bit of work to improve it since then and would like to see it re-featured. Worldtraveller 23:42, 21 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Bangsian fantasy* 1
[edit]- Reason
- Relatively obscure concept which has nevertheless produced several well known works (such as the Inferno and the Riverworld).

- Currently stuck in the Wiki no-man's-land: too long for the COTW and so short it looks doubtful. But it looks like an interesting subject - the Yugo was Car Talk's "Worst car of the millennium", so that must count for something. -Litefantastic 14:32, 14 Mar 2005 (UTC)

- A little rough around the edges, but with potential. It needs pictures and maybe some more backstory, but I don't think it's too far away from FA. -Litefantastic 14:32, 14 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Jules Henry* 2
[edit]- Reason
Jules Henry (1963) in Culture Against Man questioned the authority of and rationales behind our cultural institutions, particularly education. In Pathways to Madness (1965), he challenged ideas about mental and developmental disorders and asked us to consider the how disease and disorder arise from dependencies on families and institutions. His work that presaged much of our current focus on finding ways to improve failing schools and contend with a culture that is educated primarily by paid media is hugely influential, but largely left out of print and hard to find.
Author of two seminal works with crossover interest in sociology, enthography, psychology, anthropology and education, Jules Henry is a major contributor to our past and present understanding of culture as a diverse body of dependent parts. He argued in favor of recognizing the collective nature of experience and in favor of analyzing and constructing institutions with greater collectivity and social responsibility in mind.

Needs to be expanded in general - too small sections on economy, geography, demographics, culture (hello, Buddhism?). Also there's nothing on government, both Chinese and the government in exile. Lots more to be said, but its fairly close to FA status.--Dmcdevit 22:23, 17 Mar 2005 (UTC)

A fundamental part of society, but its article is in rather poor shape at the moment. Its condition struck me like a blow when I came across it today. Radagast 03:53, Mar 18, 2005 (UTC)

- This subject deserves a good articlte, not a stub. Right now, it's basically just a couple lines plus "civil libertarianism is not the same as libertarianism"

- It is a stub, so maybe you should try the COTW first.--Dmcdevit 17:32, 20 Mar 2005 (UTC)

- Yes, it's quite a mess right now.
- This article is very substandard at this point -- it's terrible for it to be in this state after having been the article of the week to work on. Zantastik 05:48, 23 Mar 2005 (UTC)
