Sycamore Partners relation to Staples Inc.
[edit]Sycamore should probably count as the parent company instead of the owner because of how Parent companies work. WiinterU (talk) 13:38, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
- @WiinterU: The main difference I've been able to find between a holding company and a parent company is that parent companies generally have operations of their own while also owning a majority share in the owned company, while holding companies generally do not have any other operations other than holding the stocks of the companies they own. In this sense, Sycamore Partners is more of a holding company than a parent company. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 13:50, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
