Shortcomings
[edit]The shortcomings section is not a very useful/serious list. This is not a modern browser and it does not make sense to compare it to modern browsers. This browser was released in 1994, I had a quick look around and:
- PNG was first released in 1995
- In 1994 TLS was released as an experimental (and flawed in terms of security) feature of Netscape, not sure if it was even called HTTPS back then.
- HTML frames were standardised in HTML 4.0 which came out in 1997
- The first version of JavaScript was an experimental Netscape feature and came out in 1995.

External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just modified one external link on IBM WebExplorer. Please take a moment to review my edit. If you have any questions, or need the bot to ignore the links, or the page altogether, please visit this simple FaQ for additional information. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/web/20070222135131/http://www.seds.org/~spider/os2/webex.html to http://www.seds.org/~spider/os2/webex.html
When you have finished reviewing my changes, you may follow the instructions on the template below to fix any issues with the URLs.

Images
[edit]@JJMC89: has complained that two non-free images are used at en:IBM WebExplorer. If that is a problem, one should go. From template:Non-free no reduce:
- According to Wikipedia's policy for non-free content, the amount of non-free work should be as little as possible.
The non-free work in File:IBMExploreWikipedia20040224.png is the user interface elements such as window decoration. In File:OS2 IBM WebExplorer.png, the page is a product of the US government, which maybe is also free. Which should remain? --Error (talk) 01:49, 17 June 2019 (UTC)
