Do Anglicans create saints?? - I have never heard of that - what's your source?--Doc Glasgow 18:42, 22 Apr 2005 (UTC)
There isn't formal canonization, but the CoE celebrates the old saints and has celebrations of lives since the split. However, I'm not clear either. I created the article because his was a red link in the List of saints article, and I got the information from the print Oxford Dictionary of the Christian Church. They didn't give him the saintly title, and I had nothing, really, except his presence on the List article to suggest that there was a canonization of any sort. I certainly have no trouble with removing that sentence. I will reword the sentence now and await clarification. Geogre 04:05, 23 Apr 2005 (UTC)
The saints of the Anglican church are recognized in a book called "Lesser Feast and Fasts", which is put out every few years, usually with a few additions each time.

Where is the evidence that Selwyn was a tutor to him? C M Yonge's biography mentions that the families knew each other, that both were Etonians and recounts sermons in 1841 by Selwyn and Wilberforce that inspired him to become a Missionary. He was at Eton from 1838 to 1845. In 1841 Selwyn was a curate at Windsor. (all from CMY's biography of JCP)--BrianTaylor 13:00, 12 Jun 2005 (UTC)[reply]
According to the "Lesser Feasts and Fasts", "... In the attack, several of Patteson's company were also killed or wounded." Thus, the note that he landed alone is probably erroneous. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.191.174.81 (talk) 23:29, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
