[edit]Removed the following - it is incorrect, and mixes Milorg with the Norwegian resistance movement as a whole. Some of it can be useful, though:
- They existed from 1940 to 1945. Famous parts and individuals of their company was the "Oslo gang", "Linge Company" and "nr. 24" - Gunnar Sønsteby or Kjakan. They were also famous for sabotaging submarines, government buildings or the Heavywater factory used to produce the special water that was used in preparing nuclear materials. They usually hid in cottages in more rural areas before going near any "civilized" areas to do resistance work against the Nazi occupation.
The following link is a good source for the history of Milorg (in Norwegian):

I dont think its correct to say that Milorg was a guerilla force. They were more an army in hiding, waiting for the moment they could be used efficiently. The allied plan was to utilize them if the germans in Norway did not surrender. Ulflarsen
What 'incidents' were caused by a lack of coordination with SOE? --Hydraton31 18:01, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
