Fair Use Rationale
[edit]Fair use in Is There Something I Should Know?
[edit]Though this image is subject to copyright, its use is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:
- It is a low resolution copy of the cover of a music single.
- Due to the low resolution, the image cannot be used to make illegal copies of the artwork.
- It does not limit the copyright owner's rights to sell the song in any way.
- The image on the cover is significant because it was made by a famous artist, Duran Duran.
- No other image would serve to identify the packaging of this particular single.
- The image is used in an educational article which provides commentary upon the item pictured.
- The image was scanned in by me.
