I smelled not flaky golden pastry with delicious gourmet fillings, but advertising. At the same time, for all I know, kringles are quite real; but I'm in a bad mood so NPOV'd the text as much as I could and simultaneously offered it to your deleting pleasure; maybe instead I'll learn something. • Delete, recipes/description of food in and of itself are not, IMO, encyclopedic. Something must show that it is notable or is special because of something. Hundreds of thousands of different types of food is out there, one is not more notable than the other. -Vina 21:35, 11 Oct 2004 (UTC)

• Keep but needs to be toned down even further. Either the link needs to be removed or others need to be added. Borderline notability, I think. My wife grew up in (southwest) Wisconsin and never heard of them. I spent ten years at University of Wisconsin in Madison and never heard of them. Kinda thought so, I learned something. (I'm on the side of "Food is inherently encyclopedic", by the way.) Withdraw motion to delete. Comment: the apparent fact that they may be peculiar to a very small area makes them more notable, not less.... but would agree with DpbSmith, we can add two or three more producers of them and zero out the promo factor. I live in Chicager and have been to Racine, always on the alert for interesting food, never heard of them; more fool me! — Bill 01:16, 12 Oct 2004 (UTC)
