Re: Blocking me

According to Aranel's own words, in her counting of the votes, the category needed 80% to delete. According to Aranel that required her vote. According to Aranel she did not give it. Therefore it failed to meet consensus to delete. Cheesedreams 22:17, 11 Dec 2004 (UTC)

P.s. shouldn't Neutrality be blocked? According to the Wikipedia:Blocking policy he should be blocked for having an inappropriate user name after repeatedly being requested to change it. Cheesedreams 22:17, 11 Dec 2004 (UTC)

You can see the most recent ruling on Neutrality's choice of username here. --[[User:Tony Sidaway|Tony Sidaway|Talk]] 22:47, 11 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Super Mario remake series

Thanks for that info. I went ahead and made those corrections.

Sock puppets

Hi, could you possibly take a look at this and see whether you think these are sock puppets? If so, could you consider banning them for vandalism (and the use of sock puppets), so that, by use of the autoblocking, it becomes possible to work out who they really are?

damage message

Why do I keep getting warnings that i am damageing pages?? I am not!

Lost and found (band)

Would you mind explaining why you thought this article was "vanity"? It doesn't seem to me to fit the criteria outlined in the policy. It was POV, yes, and it was edited by a fan (but so are the articles on most bands, to be fair), but the band seems to have a bit wider interest than "vanity" would suggest. My understanding of the latter is that it covers articles about your brother, or your cat, but not about minor bands that you happen to like.Dr Zen 05:43, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Ago Gratias

Salve, Andrevan!
Thanks for you vote, but thanks you so very much for posting on my RFA candidacy my previous reply to critics of my serial edits. (I don't check in for three days and apparently I'm AWOL or a deserter or worse!) As the criticism comes, as Captain Renault would put it "from the usual suspects", it doesn't surprise me. I thought my explanation before was perfectly reasonable and was surprised the issue resurfaced. Again, thanks. Ave! PedanticallySpeaking 21:37, Dec 14, 2004 (UTC)

Firefox reversion

Hiya. Just curious: why the blanket reversion of my edits to Firefox? Did you find every single one of them without merit? Bbpen 21:00, 16 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Mediation

I think it's pretty clear by now that there's plenty of support for you joining the Mediation Committee, so I've added you to the list of mediators, and removed the request. If you've any questions, feel free to ask, but we're in a bit of a messy state at the moment, as we try to work out the future directions for mediation on Wikipedia.

It'd be nice if you could note your email on Wikipedia:Mediation Committee. You may be interested in putting your name down here as well, if you're interested in attending this upcoming committee meeting. Cheers, Ambi 05:51, 20 Dec 2004 (UTC)

RFA thanks

Salve, Andrevan!
I wanted to drop you a line to thank you for your support in my successful RFA candidacy. It was very gratifying to see the kind remarks posted by yourself and others. Ave! PedanticallySpeaking 17:23, Dec 21, 2004 (UTC)

Nintendo DS

Hey, Andrevan. (Nice user page, btw). I took out that stuff at Nintendo DS because it's un-encyclopedic. The stuff on the "stagnation in the industry" reads like an op-ed. As for the removal of the items about how it couldn't read Gameboy games, it's old data, why do we need that? It can read both Gameboy Advance and Gameboy (thanks modders!), so it's irrelevant (IMO), what people thought of at E3. Anyways, if you want that stuff about the industry, could you at LEAST wikify it please, to make it sound less like a Nintendo press release?. Thanks. Terrapin 20:56, 22 Dec 2004 (UTC)

What's wrong with this code?

Copied it out of the how to guide, all I changed was the image link and alt text. I'll post it:

A rare picture of the elusive GregNorc
A rare picture of the elusive GregNorc

Is there a way to upload my picture to wikipedia without giving up my rights to it?

Recent Changes

Is there a way I can not view images added to database on the recent changes page?

Thanks. [[User:GregNorc|-GregNorc (talk) ]]

Sig problems...

My sig doesn't seem to want to work. Here's a link to the test page I'm using, can you tell what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks

Thanks Andre, but currently I'm not that interested. Perhaps in the future. While I have a lot of edits I still at times feel like a noob with Wikipedia. :) K1Bond007 01:24, Dec 24, 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for the help fixing my sig...

It should work, it did in my lab. So here's my first post with it "in the wild"

Just dropping you a note wishing you a very Happy Holiday and that this New Year may bring you and your loved ones happiness and lots of joy. Your friend in Wikipedia Tony the Marine

re: {{game-stub}}

ooops. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll try to remember it next time. P Ingerson 23:42, 26 Dec 2004 (UTC)

MedCom vote

Too new, I think. Not opposing though Andre (talk) 08:46, Dec 27, 2004 (UTC)

Hmm, that's kind but a bit odd. Feel free to oppose on the grounds of me being too new, I'd hate to be appointed to the Mediation Committee with everyone thinking I was too new but not opposing out of kindness. --fvw* 14:11, 2004 Dec 27 (UTC)

Zellin, the article

The article is written more like a magazine article than an encyclopedia article. Zellin 22:38, Dec 28, 2004 (UTC)

Moving a page

The pages "Rainbow Six (video game)" and "Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield" were recently moved, however, they were done so without the use of the move function (i.e. they were copied and pasted). Is there anyway to revert that and use the move function? A lot of history was left behind. ?? The pages are now Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield. Re: Done & Done. Thanks again Andre K1Bond007 04:48, Dec 29, 2004 (UTC)
