Slang dicdef, word of dubious usage Tuf-Kat 07:11, Dec 10, 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete: "Comical Ali" joke, but this one didn't catch on. Geogre 13:27, 10 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Rare neologism, yesterday's news and not even a throwaway mention on Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf. Nobody uses this without explanation. I'm not going to insult Wiktionary by suggesting a transwiki, either. It seems the primary instigator [1] has already contacted pseudodictionary, I suggest that that's more than enough. • Keep. I've heard the term. -- Judson 19:29, 10 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep, it's a notable word. -- Old Right 19:38, 10 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. - I agree with Judson and Old Right. There is no valid reason to delete the article. -- Crevaner 19:41, 10 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Well, I'll be a son of a gun. This is actually used? I wonder why I could only get 34 Google hits on it (580, but only 34 that aren't duplicating others), and 0 in discussion groups. Aren't you all remembering this from a year back, or so? Is it in any current use? If so, where? JRM 20:23, 2004 Dec 10 (UTC)
Even if it is in use, that makes it a candidate for wiktionary. Wikipedia does not keep dictionary definitions, and that's what this is -- admittedly with a more detailed etymology than most. I don't see any way it could be expanded into an encyclopedia article. Tuf-Kat 20:37, Dec 10, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete dicdef of neologism Dunc| 21:12, 10 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Do not transwiki. Looks like we have some new faces at VfD all of the sudden! [[User:GRider|GRider\talk]] 21:23, 10 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Merge and redirect to Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf. Despite its origins as an intentionally promoted neologism, it seems to have had a brief vogue as a shorthand for "a lie stunning in its audacious disregard of the real world." (hmmmm, I believe some VfD commentary might merit that description...) Do not transwiki unless substantial usage of this neologism post-19932003 can be demonstrated. -- Antaeus Feldspar 21:51, 10 Dec 2004 (UTC)
(hmmmm, I believe some VfD commentary might merit that description...) Wikipedia:No impersonal attacks, please. Ah drat, that's not even written yet! This encyclopedia sucks. And I take it you mean post-2003? JRM 23:07, 2004 Dec 10 (UTC)
  • Delete neologism, do not transwiki, do not redirect. I'm not buying this "it's notable" stuff. -- Cyrius| 01:00, 11 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • del no transwiki. Mikkalai 08:58, 11 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete or redirect to Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf. Gamaliel 08:59, 11 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. A bit kitschy, but valid. -- unsigned vote from 24.12.250.245, whose 9th edit this was.
  • Slang dicdef. I can find no evidence that this is in current use. I also note that it is an orphan article. Delete. Neither transwiki nor redirect seem necessary. Rossami (talk) 00:29, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete without trankswiki'ing. [[User:GRider|GRider\talk]] 22:34, 15 Dec 2004 (UTC)
