Summary and Outline
[edit]Parashat Terumah (Exodus 25:1-27:19) begins the third major part of the book of Exodus, an elaborate section describing the construction of the Tabernacle (mishkan), its vessels, and the garments of its priests (chaps. 25-40). Within this third and last major part of Exodus there is only one major interruption to the topic of the Tabernacle: the sin of the Golden Calf, which will appear later in Parashat Ki Tissa (chaps. 32-34). Parashat Terumah is entirely devoted to the Tabernacle and its vessels, with no interruption to its theme.
