The result of the move request was: move the page to Robert Ford (Canadian diplomat) at this time, per the discussion below. Dekimasuよ! 22:09, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
Robert Ford (poet) → Robert Ford (diplomat) – His main biography focuses on his career as a diplomat, and Canadian encyclopedia entry prioritises his work over his poetry. Ambassador to the Soviet Union for sixteen years is pretty notable, and I don't see his poetry reaching such a level of notability. Pontificalibus 14:59, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
- Support per nomination. I would also support the combined form Robert Ford (diplomat and poet), but if consensus prefers a one-word qualifier, then Robert Ford (diplomat) should take precedence over Robert Ford (poet). Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 22:29, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
- Support Robert Ford (Canadian diplomat) (since Robert Stephen Ford was also a diplomat). Clear primary career. He was ambassador to the USSR, one of the most important diplomatic postings, for sixteen years, for crying out loud! Double disambiguators are never advisable. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:09, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
