Renamed for context, 2004
[edit]I have moved Legislative Assembly (France) to The Legislative Assembly and the fall of the French monarchy, subordinate to French Revolution in the History of France series, because that's what this really is. I edited down a shorter article at Legislative Assembly (France) about the Legislative Assembly itself. -- Jmabel 19:46, Jun 27, 2004 (UTC)
Bigot de Préamenau
[edit]The name "Bigot de Préamenau" (among the leaders of the Right) is straight out of the 1911 Encyclopaedia Britannica. It means nothing to me. It might be a typographical error, because I can't find any relevant citation on the web that does not seem to derive from the 1911 EB. Anyone know more? -- Jmabel 02:58, Jun 28, 2004 (UTC)
Ramond
[edit]Similarly, Mignet lists "Ramond" among the leaders of the Right. I don't know who this is. Does anyone else? -- Jmabel 20:08, Jun 28, 2004 (UTC)
M. Duveryer
[edit]I can't identify "M. Duveryer" in the Mignet quotation. Could be an alternate spelling of "Duverier", but I still don't know who that would be. -- Jmabel 20:34, Jun 28, 2004 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit]Someone changed the dissolving of the National Constituent Assembly from 1791 to 2091. Blatant vandalism and shameful web ethics. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 155.143.156.157 (talk) 12:11, 4 February 2007 (UTC).
Yes, nearly all articles related to the French Revolution are subject to rather heavy vandalism. We haven't been able to tell whether it is one vandal who keeps editing from different IP addresses, or something broader. - Jmabel | Talk 22:19, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- Probably it's all the high school students. 71.131.23.199 (talk) 21:46, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- @Jmabel: Then, wouldn't it be good then to perhaps protect them? What do you think? Chefs-kiss (talk) 12:28, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
Separate from French Revolution?
[edit]I am curious why this entry is separate from the main article on the French Revolution. It would seem to invite discrepancies between this and the main page. Jglangdon (talk) 22:06, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
- Jglangdon I imagine its because the article discusses the national convention and folds the legislative assembly, the constituent assembly and the directory. Chefs-kiss (talk) 15:33, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
