Politas (Myk Dowling) is a IT worker in Canberra, Australia. He is also half of the Canyengue Nuevo team, dancing and teaching a form of Argentine Tango, is heavily involved with the CKAN, a mod management system for Kerbal Space Program, and is occasionally a musician in a Contra band.

Myk also has a self-hosted blog called Flying Flux, named for his interest in blacksmithing.
