Lace Wikiproject invitation
[edit]Dear Pacaro,
I noticed your contributions to Tatting and Needle lace. I thought you might be interested in participating in the Wikiproject Lace I have just created. -- Julie E. 01:27, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Dear Pacaro,
I noticed your contributions to onlytzaras.com deletion and I am very disappointed. I always thought that wikipedia was a place to have articles on things that made history. This website was the talk of a whole new york college campus. In addition this article was also picked up by a free dictionary that is completely seperate from wikipedia. (www.explore-computers.com). I am very disappointed in a profound user like you and take great offence from this removal.
As regards WTLS
[edit]You posted a note to me regarding my edit to the WTLS page. You make a good point. Maybe my edit was slightly misleading. What I was trying to express was that as the WAP Forum was an independant organisation at the time, the specifications released by them were not official - they were seen more as guidelines. Now, if the IEEE had released a standardised system, or an RFC was created and seen as the primary system spec, then it may have been taken much more seriously (e.g. HTTP 1.1 was originally an RFC article and the article spawned an extremely standardised system). I agree that turning of WTLS is a legitimate operation. I phrased it badly - what I meant to express was that in some cases WTLS may be disabled as default, or be recommended to be disabled in case of an error. Suggestions on edits welcome. This was confusing as the image was uploaded by User:Ben Tibbetts with nothing showing he received permission from you to release the rights. There was no objection from the uploader when the image was nominated as a possibly unfree image so I deleted it. I have restored the image and reverted the article to put the image back in. -Regards -Nv8200p talk 01:40, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
Red Setter
[edit]Could you please view item Sionnach under discussion with regard to Red Setter. Summary. Madra: Dog, Rua: Russet (Red: Dearg). If one considers the Red Fox (Vulpes Vulpes), it is of the Dog family and russet, ipso facto Madra Rua is Red Fox. It is a case of idiomatic expression which is acceptable in all dialects: Scots, Manx, Rinn, Cois farrige &c. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.1.88.48 (talk) 15:25, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
