Just like the idea of an open source of info that grows in realtime. I created my account the day of the Columbia Shuttle accident(I had nothing to do with those articles though:) ), and I just thought it was very interesting to watch the process of documenting an event like that. I've added very little to Wikipedia, though I did do the first (very short) article on Jack London long before I signed up for an account. So far I have added links to articles, checked spellings, etc.
