Copied basic layout from the NCHS article. Building size and addition dates come from the Naperville Sun, 23 March 2005 edition.

[edit]Didn't the drummer from the band Wilco graduate from NNHS? Can someone look this up. Wilco has had two drummers and it could be either one.
Fair use rationale for Image:Napervillenorthhs.gif
[edit]Image:Napervillenorthhs.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:25, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
What not to include
[edit]Greetings editors!
I have recently gone through and removed some things in the article that do not belong. Before adding any information, please consult the guidelines at the Wikischools Project page, specifically the section on what not to include.
In short, do not include the names of students or staff unless they are somehow notable for something other than being at the school. If they are famous for something else, or win some national award, then they become notable.
Make sure anything you add is accompanied by a citation from a reputable, neutral source.
Finally, some anonymous editors are adding some flowery language (like "slaughter" for "defeat"). This is a violation of Neutral Point of View (NPOV) guidelines. Keep things neutral, no matter how much you really like or really dislike something.
Good luck! LonelyBeacon 02:36, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
2013 US News rankings are out
[edit]NNHS is #2 in Naperville, #33 in Illinois (two spots ahead of Central (#35) and ten behind Neuqua (#23)), and #874 nationally. Link: http://www.usnews.com/education/best-high-schools/illinois/districts/naperville-cusd-203/naperville-north-high-school-6884

State Championships
[edit]I have noticed that some of the state championships under the athletics category are outdated. For example the girls cross country team won in 2012 and 2014 and this should be updated under that section. http://www.napervillenorthgcc.org/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rbiesiada2 (talk • contribs) 18:33, 9 February 2015 (UTC)

Suggestions
[edit]Greetings! I wanted to provide some recommendations to enhance this page. Introducing subheadings in the “Activities” section based on broader categories of the extracurriculars may improve its readability. The page for Naperville Central High School is an example where such subheadings are employed under their “Club and activities” section. Additionally, I wanted to ask if there were citations regarding achievements noted within “Activities,” for example, the information regarding the FIRST robotics and DECA program's success? Another item that could be adopted from the Naperville Central High School page is the inclusion of images of some of the alumni listed under “Notable Alumni.” Additionally, the notable alumni section can be expanded beyond the scope of athletics and entertainment, and include alumni who have had prominent accomplishments in academia, such as the two graduates who have gone on to become Rhodes Scholars. To close, the page overall could benefit from some updates pertaining to more recent developments at Naperville North High School, for instance, their 2017 million-dollar front entrance renovation to improve security, and the more recent state titles won by their athletic teams. The Chicago Tribune and IHSA Records & History can be referenced respectively in regards to these. Beyond these suggestions, the page is structured well and reflects the expectations of the Wikischools Project. Hope this helps! --Asmaley (talk) 03:37, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
- Go ahead and WP:SOFIXIT., but don't add alumni pictures. Consensus at the Schools project is to not allow these. I will remove them from the other school's page. Meters (talk) 03:46, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
- I would suggest that you read WP:WPSCH/AG for information on what high school articles should look like. Meters (talk) 03:49, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
- I'd also like to remind you that this encyclopedia article, like any other, is tertiary. In short, this encyclopedia article should consist of material paraphrased from reliable secondary sources. We don't write about the school, we write about what others have written about the school. John from Idegon (talk) 04:26, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
